One of Chelsea's favorite parts of her job is helping uncover what may be causing a pet to feel unwell and being part of the process that helps them recover. She has a particular interest in behavior and training and enjoys learning more about how animals think, communicate, and interact with the world around them. Chelsea is a Certified Veterinary Assistant through Animal Behavior College and is currently continuing her education as she works toward becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.
At home, Chelsea and family shares their home with Denver, a Carolina Dog, and Piper, a chocolate Labrador Retriever who keeps life interesting and has earned a reputation for constantly finding herself in trouble! While Chelsea doesn't have one particular favorite animal, she admits that if she could choose any animal to have as a pet, she might be tempted by a large cat—especially one equipped with a good set of "murder mittens."
Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys reading and exploring the outdoors. Her perfect day off is simple: settling in with a good book and taking some time to relax. One thing her coworkers and friends have likely come to expect is that Chelsea can find a musical reference for just about any conversation or occasion. She describes herself as neither an early bird nor a night owl, but rather a "perpetually exhausted pigeon!"
What Chelsea loves most about Windy Hollow Veterinary Clinic is the incredible team she works alongside. She considers her coworkers more than just colleagues—they are a family; with bonds she believes will last a lifetime. She hopes every client knows that each member of the Windy Hollow team puts their pet's needs first and that every animal is genuinely loved and cared for while they are here.
Her advice to pet owners is one that reflects the importance of building a trusting relationship with your veterinary team:
"When you have questions about your pet's health, trust your veterinary medical team before turning to Google or relying solely on advice from others. We are trained professionals who continue our education so we can provide the best possible care for your pet."
A native of western Massachusetts, Gianna has been caring for animals of all sizes since she was about 15. She grew up with her sister and parents, animal lovers who always had pets for the family to look after, and being an animal's advocate and voice is something that keeps growing for her. She joined the Windy Hollow team in the spring of 2022.

WHY SHE LOVES HER JOB SO MUCH
Veterinary medicine just feels right to Gianna. She has a passion for learning, and pairing that with animals and medicine keeps her interested every day. She assists the technicians and veterinarians with appointments and treatments, from blood draws to filling medications to walking clients through the products their pets need.
WHAT SHE DOES IN HER SPARE TIME
Most of Gianna's free time goes to Ellie, her 3-year-old Lab mix, who is supremely food motivated and loves her stuffed babies so much that she gets the zoomies in the yard every day, with the biggest smile. The two of them are usually out walking or swimming.
Mattie was born in Santa Rosa, California and moved to western Massachusetts at the age of three. She and her mother always had animals to care for so going into veterinary medicine was a natural choice. She came to Windy Hollow as a junior intern for her veterinary shop class at Franklin County Technical School. She is currently an underclassman at UMass Amherst in their pre-vet program. Mattie has been a great addition to our team as she looks forward to her future as a veterinarian.

WHY SHE LOVES HER JOB SO MUCH
She has a strong passion for all animals and believes in providing them with the best treatments to give them their best life. She also loves helping people give the best care they can to their pets. She loves all animals but is especially drawn to birds and exotics, so she tries to assist with their care here as much as possible.
WHAT SHE DOES IN HER SPARE TIME
When not at work, you can find Mattie volunteering, horseback riding, or hanging out with her young French bulldog, Tater Tot, who lives up to her name as a sassy potato on four legs. Tater Tot's favorite place is the beach and they try to get there as much as they can.
One of Krishana's favorite parts of her job is working directly with patients during routine care. She particularly enjoys nail trims and vaccines and appreciates the opportunity to help make these everyday veterinary experiences as positive and stress-free as possible. She also has a special interest in emergency care, where she enjoys the fast-paced environment and the opportunity to provide support when pets need it most.
Krishana earned her bachelor's degree in Pre-Veterinary Science from UMass. Her educational background and hands-on experience in veterinary medicine have helped shape her passion for patient care and client education.
At home, Krishana shares her life with two cats: Prometheus, a Russian Blue, and Aurora, a calico. Her favorite animal is the skunk, and if she could have any animal as a pet, that would be her choice! Outside of work, she enjoys watching anime and spending time crafting. Her ideal day off would include swimming followed by a shopping spree. One fun fact about Krishana is that, as a child, she once swallowed a nail—a story that certainly makes for an interesting conversation!
What Krishana loves most about working at Windy Hollow Veterinary Clinic is the incredible amount of knowledge shared among the team. She appreciates how willing her coworkers are to teach, explain, and help one another grow. She hopes every client knows that everyone at Windy Hollow genuinely cares for each patient and treats their pets with the same compassion and concern they would give their own animals.
Her advice to pet owners is a reminder that sometimes we all need to give ourselves a little grace:
"You are doing the best you can with what you have, and that is okay."
One of Ashley's favorite parts of her job is working directly with patients and their families to help make sure each pet receives the care they need. She has a particular interest in surgery and feline medicine and enjoys the opportunity to continue expanding her knowledge and hands-on skills. Ashley graduated from the Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School Animal Science program and is currently a senior studying Pre-Veterinary Science at UMass, with hopes of attending veterinary school in the future.
At home, Ashley has quite the household, sharing her life with six cats and two dogs who she affectionately describes as "grumpy." Cats and chickens are her favorite animals, so her home is clearly filled with plenty of personality! If she could have any animal as a pet, Ashley says she'd choose a unicorn—preferably one that could double as her personal transportation.
Outside of the clinic, Ashley enjoys gardening, swimming, and playing card games. Her favorite way to spend a day off is relaxing in the garden or spending time at the lake. She's also got a practical skill that might come in handy on a Windy Hollow road trip: she can drive a standard transmission!
What Ashley loves most about working at Windy Hollow Veterinary Clinic is how welcoming and supportive her coworkers have been since she joined the team. She appreciates how willing everyone is to help her learn and grow and has quickly become part of a team that values collaboration. She hopes every client knows that their voice is heard at Windy Hollow and that the safety and well-being of every patient is always a top priority.
Her advice to pet owners is short, sweet, and one she feels strongly about:
"Please refrain from using retractable leashes! Your pet's safety comes first."
One of Ania's favorite parts of her job is helping clients and their pets feel more comfortable when facing the unknown. She understands that veterinary visits and medical concerns can sometimes be stressful or frightening, and she enjoys helping pet owners better understand what is happening while making their pets feel as safe and supported as possible. Her special interests include pharmacology and behavior, and she is also excited to continue expanding her knowledge of acupuncture and other areas of veterinary medicine.
Throughout her career, Ania has continued to pursue additional education and training. She is certified in CPR and K-Laser therapy and has completed specialized training in anesthesia, nutrition, and COHAT procedures. Her commitment to continuing education reflects her passion for learning and providing the best possible care for her patients.
At home, Ania has quite the crew! She shares her life with five cats—Amir, Rukia, Baby Rage, Kira, and Cassian—and three dogs with personalities as big as their names. Archer, an Aussie mix, enjoys herding the chickens; Jinx, another Aussie mix, lives for frisbee; and Monkey D. Luffy, a Sheltie, is always searching for the One Piece so he can become the King of the Pirates!
Outside of the clinic, Ania enjoys gardening, collecting rocks and stones, exploring astrology, and foraging for medicinal herbs and mushrooms. She also speaks fluent Polish! Her favorite way to spend a day off is hiking with her partner and their dogs, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with the people and animals she loves most.
What Ania loves most about working at Windy Hollow Veterinary Clinic is the close-knit staff and sense of teamwork throughout the hospital. She believes that collaboration is one of the most important parts of providing excellent care—after all, "teamwork makes the dream work!" She hopes clients can feel that dedication whenever they visit and see how the team works together to support both pets and their families.
Her advice to pet owners is a reminder to enjoy every stage of life with their pets:
"Cherish every moment—especially the naughty puppy and kitten phases—because they grow up far too fast."
